Talk & Listen Kit®

CSG - Voice Silenced Communication

How it Works for Courtrooms, Judicial Venues

The TALK AND LISTEN KIT® ensures that everyone in the courtroom can clearly hear and understand legal proceedings...no matter what language they speak!

In January 2003, the Supreme Court ruled that interpreters must be appointed when defendants cannot "understand and speak English well enough to participate fully in the proceedings and to assist counsel" and witnesses "cannot speak English so as to be understood directly by counsel, court and jury."

A non-English speaking defendant(seen here in photo to the right) receives instructions from court appointed interpreters (L) on using a TALK AND LISTEN KIT® while his attorney (R) looks on.

It is essential that non-English speaking citizens are given the same opportunities as English speaking citizens during the judicial process. The equipment provided by CSG ensures that everyone in the courtroom can clearly hear and understand legal proceedings...no matter what language they speak!

Comments from participants, attorneys, court reporters:

"The TALK AND LISTEN KIT® served its purpose very well. We found it to be very useful and unobtrusive. Magolly Smith, the court appointed interpreter, did an excellent job."
