How Do You Communicate with Multiple Language Groups?

The TALK AND LISTEN KIT® provides the tools to ensure complete communication in every situation. We enhance communication through our state-of-the-art technology and equipment that is easy to use, easy to carry, and provides cost effective, simultaneous interpretation and assistive listening.

How Does the TALK AND LISTEN KIT® Work?

As a speaker gives his/her presentation, an interpreter speaks into the PrivacyMic® which is connected to a small transmitter (about the size of a deck of cards). Listeners in the audience, equipped with a receiver and listening device (earhooks/headphones) can sit anywhere in the room and hear the interpreter’s voice. Multiple languages and/or meetings can be transmitted or interpreted simultaneously.

Voice-silencing is the key characteristic of the TALK AND LISTEN KIT® voice-silenced wireless communication system. A specialized microphone called the PrivacyMic® (a small hand-held mask-type device) is placed against the face and allows the interpreter to breathe normally while speaking into a microphone inside the housing that is connected to a wireless, palm-sized, portable transmitter. This allows mobile, simultaneous interpreting voice transmission to an unlimited number of listeners, each equipped with small earpieces attached to a wireless portable receiver about the size of a standard deck of cards.

The TALK AND LISTEN KIT® permits non-disruptive voice-silenced transmission of a signal in a protected FM frequency band. The PrivacyMic® microphone contains or “silences” the speakers voice, thereby allowing simultaneous interpretation (simultaneous translation), assistive listening amplification for hard of hearing, or voice silenced communication to occur without disrupting the given speech, meeting or presentation.

The TALK AND LISTEN KIT® can be customized to your needs and budget; purchased with as few as 1 channel or as many as 8 channel transmitters and receivers. This allows a speaker’s message to be transmitted concurrently and silently to listeners in as many as 8 different language groups at the same time, in the same room! The TALK AND LISTEN KIT® voice-silenced wireless communication system has a maximum transmitting range of 325 feet, which is enough power to reach the back row of a large auditorium, and can transmit to a virtually unlimited number of listeners within that distance.
